The core of Greenlayer is the creation of a brand that transcends the common expectations of performance gear. We bring to life race inspired performance apparel for the athlete. Our mission has been to continually increase the environmentally responsible products in our collections with each season. We strive to shift the thought process of consumers into understanding that environmentally conscious products do not mean a sacrifice in performance, style, and comfort. We have designed our apparel to exude functionality along with a clean, understated style. Whether our customer is a retailer or an athletic event, we do not believe in short cuts and we do not believe in sacrificing quality or performance. Our team is preoccupied with perfection and we create apparel for athletes who will accept nothing but the best.
Quality – One of the key elements of our products is quality. We take care to make sure our manufactures adhere to quality control measures and produce apparel that is durable and comfortable. High performance materials, thoughtful design, and unique fabric blends have created a brand that the marketplace has not seen replicated.
Racing – We create apparel for the athletes who are performance driven, aesthetically-minded, and environmentally aware. Our brand is about an evolution in performance apparel, simple aesthetics, and functional comfort.
Casual – In addition to the performance basics offered in 2009, the 2010 season launches a new line of casual/lifestyle apparel. The same quality and design simplicity will be captured in leisure products, and will include: hoodies, warm-up pants, and track jackets, all made performance materials, integrating environmentally responsible fabrics, such as recycled polyester. Organic cotton will still be a lifestyle offering in t-shirts.
Greenlayer was founded in the Pacific Northwest by a group of endurance athletes looking to make a difference in sport and the environment. We recognized a growing need for environmentally responsible performance apparel in the marketplace and made it our goal to educate consumers and provide them with expanded performance and lifestyle apparel options. Starting in the grassroots level of sport and racing, Greenlayer has developed a following of athletes that are as passionate about sport as they are the environment in which they train and race.

1% FOR THE PLANET
1% For the Planet is a growing global movement of companies that donate one percent of their sales to a network of environmental organizations worldwide. Their goal is to build and support an alliance of businesses financially committed to creating a healthy planet. Greenlayer has been a member of 1% for the Planet since 2008 and plans to continue to support it by actively seeking out events and athletes that are also involved with this worthy organization.
COUNCIL FOR RESPONSIBLE SPORT
The Council for Responsible Sport or ReSport provides an independent, comprehensive certification for sustainable athletic events. By defining realistic objectives and providing a framework for achieving them, ReSport enables event directors to incorporate environmental responsibility into their events while informing consumers which events adhere to their standards. Greenlayer supports the mission of the Council for Responsible Sport and sponsors the CRS Field Team with recycled performance apparel.
