Do you have any vices?:

I love sweets!

What makes you tick as a runner and in the real world?:

I would have to say my love of life and family and nature. And for the belief that hard work pays off.

What drives you to run?:

I just love being outside and feeling healthy. I also believe I was given this talent for a reason, to help others through my running, somehow. Maybe to give inspiration and hope to others, that if you really want to do it, you can!

What is your favorite movie?:

A Christmas Story

Do you have any nicknames? Explain:

No, but I will usually answer to the name "Ann"! That is my twin sisters name! (:

What's the longest you've gone without sleep? Why?:

Perseids Meteor Shower, winter time, about three years ago. My children wanted to see the meteor shower even though it was freeezing cold outside! So, we gathered our sleeping bags, blankets, etc. and camped out on the trampoline all night long watching shooting stars etch the sky off and on 'til dawn. It was 12 degrees that next morning when we finally went in!

If you had to be named after one of the 50 states,
which would it be?:

Indiana

What did you have for lunch yesterday?:

A green chili burger.

If you could hook up a thought monitor to your head,
would you see pictures, hear words or would music be
playing?:

See pictures.

What really scares you about trail running?:

mountain lions.

If your life was made into a movie, what would it be called?:

"Never a Dull Moment"

Where would you live if it could be anywhere in the world?:

Right here, in Del Norte, Colorado! With a second home in New Zealand or Switzerland. (:

What's your worst encounter on the trail?:

A young bear came onto the trail with us (there were three of us), close enough to pet the thing! My first thought was - where is the mother, we are dead! Luckily, the mother never came, but the bear, being playful, I guess, would run away from us (what a relief), only to come running right back at us! He would stand up on his hind legs, trying to get around us - literally, close enough to touch! He did this for about a mile down the trail, until he finally went down off the steep embankment and back into the woods. (This happened on a trail close to Sand Dunes National Monument.)
